Environmental Impact Statement public comment period ends Jan. 17, 2017

Federal agencies have begun the scoping process for a Columbia River System Operations (CRSO) Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The EIS will present a reasonable range of alternatives for long-term system operations and evaluate the potential environmental and socioeconomic impacts on flood risk management, irrigation, power generation, navigation, fish and wildlife, cultural resources, and recreation. Comments received during the public scoping period provide anyone who is interested an opportunity to help the agencies identify issues and concerns that could be analyzed in the EIS. Please take a moment to learn more on the CRSO website, and submit your comments. http://www.crso.info/
